Casio Music NZ partnered with local artists Joyce Lee & Tayla Alexander to create a music recording and video of Cinema Paradiso (Se) to coincide with New Zealand Music Month in May.
Casio Music NZ chose Tayla and Joyce as ambassadors partly to celebrate the 15 years of innovation packed into our new S-Series Privia digital pianos, and also to showcase serious local talent for NZ Music Month in May. We are keen to support young Kiwi artists and capture their journey through music and film. Tayla is currently studying music at the University of Waikato. She holds an Auckland Opera Studio Scholarship and a Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship, which commits to scholars for their period of study and provides full fees for their study, personalised academic support, leading tutors in their area of arts, and funding for specialised skills development and leadership training. Joyce graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) majoring in Classical Piano Performance, and subsequently earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Piano Pedagogy and a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy, all under the tutelage of Rae de Lisle. She attended Diocesan School for Girls and was taught by Matteo Napoli before university.
The recording is available on iTunes, Spotify and other global digital channels.
